Made for use during the American Civil War. Brass mounted and in about excellent condition. Bore is mint; metal is generally smooth, with a few patches of very fine pitting. Brass is excellent and unpolished. Conversion breech retains most of its original black case color and is marked "L&Z 494". One of a handful that have survived. SOLD
