Manufactured by Isaac Hollis & Sons and made for J. Aston, who was Director of the School of Musketry at Hythe and also sold his target rifles to shooters. Rifle is about mint and appears unfired. Bore is mint; barrel retains 99 1/2% original blue and sharp markings. Lock retains 90% or more dark case colors. Finely checkered European walnut; stock is near mint.
Original wooden casing is excellent-plus on the inside, and very fine on the outside. Lock on box broken but pieces included. Splendid oversize Isaac Hollis & Sons trade label. An exceptional cased set, with great eye appeal. Complete with original nipple guard. $12,500
