B1229. Pre-Civil War Maynard First Model Carbine Cased Set.

Containing both a .35 and .50 caliber, 20" barrel. In about mint condition inside and out. Original factory case needs repair to lid, otherwise excellent. Loads of accessories, including hooded front sight, slip on "sharpshooter" sight, mold, loading tools, partial can of tape primers, grease can, ammunition, etc. Lacks proper flask and patch cutter. Receiver and levers retain 65% soft case colors; all of color remains on hammer and screw heads. Wood is superb, with one hundred percent original varnish. Extra nipple and paper label in patch box. Most first model Maynards went South at the beginning of the War, and thus are shown in the Confederate Ordnance Manual as an issue CS weapon. SOLD
