Still retains its rare stamped steel dust cover. Manufactured at Tulle arsenal and rebuilt and re-barreled in 1917. Rifle is in very fine condition, with all matching numbers. Complete with leather sling. Paper label reads, “Pvt. H. Johnson, 89th Division, 47 Maple Ave, St. Louis, MO, Shell Damaged French Rifle Lucey Sector France.” Bore is excellent; rifle retains 65-70% arsenal refinish. Wood damaged and field repaired at wrist. A WWI rifle with a known history. $1450
