Ca. 1810-1820. In fine overall condition. Eagle head retains strong areas of silver plate. Carved bone grips are excellent, with one crack on reverse side. 36" overall length in leagher scabbard; 31" blade retains large areas of original blue and most of the gold foliage. Blade is unsharpened, with no nicks. Scabbard is strong; rear seam, half of stitching broken. Brass fittings are excellent and unpolished; middle fitting loose. A very nice example of the type of saber used during the War of 1812 era. Lacks frog button. $1550
