In extra fine overall condition. Bore is excellent-plus; smooth, well marked metal retains 90% original arsenal blue. Block is mostly a silver color, with strong case colors on bottom of block. Wood is excellent, and bears evidence of a long ago cleaning. Stock retains visible 1878 dated cartouche. One of the more scarce regular issue trapdoor rifles; only 20,000 made. Far above average. $1950
