Antique Gun 1452. Rare Merrill Conversion of Model 1841 Harpers Ferry Rifle.

In unfired, excellent-plus condition. Only 100 of these rifles were altered by James H. Merrill, circa 1861-1862. Bore is mint; metal is generally smooth and retains approximately 95% or more strong original finish. Slight roughness in areas of brown loss. Wood is near mint, with crisp inspectors initials. Brass is about mint, and unpolished. I haven't had one of these for at least 10 years. For the advanced collector. $14,500
