In extra fine condition. Complete with original mold, powder flask, and loading/cleaning rod. Pistol marked "Allens Patent 1845." Bores are excellent; metal generally smooth, with small amount of minor pinpricking at left of receiver. Finish is a steel grey; grips are very fine. Receiver and nipple shield lightly engraved. Original accessories are excellent; cap box built into bottom of flask. Casing is excellent or better; original lining shows normal use. A fine example of a Gold Rush-period self defense weapon.
