In very fine or better overall condition. Bore is excellent; 7 1/2" octagon barrel retains 50% or more original blue finish. Mechanically excellent; grips are excellent. Only 900 made, this one a scarce variation made with back plate on cylinder in order to try to get around the Smith & Wesson Patent (150 produced in 1861). This model of Bacon revolver was submitted to the US for testing. Seldom encountered in any condition, considered a Civil War secondary martial. Serial #64. Reasonably priced at $3250
