Antique Gun 2627. Pre-Civil War Perry Carbine.

500 Perrys were made; the majority were sporting rifles and shotguns. Around 500 carbines were made, with 200 purchased by the Army and 50 by the Navy. This example although not a martially marked gun, is in excellent-plus, unfired condition. The bore is new; the barrel retains 70% or more of its original brown finish. Wood excellent; note the brass tube sticking out of back of gun, which is a primer feed mechanism unique to Perry carbines. Barrel band and screw heads are bright. This gun is insanely rare; this is the only Perry I have ever had. Please note saddle bar, denoting gun was intended for military use. $8500
