Manufactured by Ames and dated 1835. In very fine overall condition. Hilt is excellent and unpolished; blade is fine, retaining 75% bright steel color, with scattered areas of light surface roughness. Unsharpened scabbard is fine, with one bend area anda bit of surface crazing. Leather is strong. Brass is very fine, with a few dents at rear. Extremely sharp markings. $1450
