Caliber .58 Roberts rimfire. Manufactured only in the first year of the New York contract, and only a few hundred were made before the change to centerfire (5,000 centerfire conversions were made and used by the States of New York and South Carolina). Exceedingly rare in rimfire. Musket is in fine overall condition. Bore is very fine; well marked metal needs cleaning and should clean to very fine. Lockplate dated 1864 and retains traces of case color. Wood is fine, with no cracks or wood loss. Very low survival rate. $1400
