Antique Gun 2884. Civil War Spencer Model 1860 Carbine, Converted At Springfield.

Civil War carbine, with 22" barrel, was returned to Springfield Armory in 1866 and converted to .56-50. Carbine is in very fine condition. Bore is excellent; metal is smooth and fine, with some very light dings on sides of receiver. Wood is fine, with one ding in forearm. Carbine is in the 38,000 range, many of which were shipped to the 9th New York Cavalry. Used in both the Indian and Civil Wars. $2250
