Antique Gun 2372. US Model 1865 Joslyn Infantry Rifle.

In fine overall condition. Caliber .50RF. Bore is fine; metal is generally smooth, with areas of light roughness near muzzle. Wood is fine, with stress crack behind lockplate at top of wrist. Cartouches visible. Manufactured at Springfield Armory. The first cartridge infantry rifle used by the US Army, the Joslyn is scarce, as most were converted to center fire and sold to the French in 1870. Reasonably at $2600
